Coach Williams just completed his 13th season at the helm after seven as an assistant. The Shelbyville product played Baseball at Tennessee Wesleyan. The 24 year coaching veteran earned a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from MTSU and teaches Driver's Education. Matt's son Kellar is a member of the class of 2021 and will attend Eastern Kentucky University.

Gabe Villarreal just completed his 10th season with the Bulldogs. The 17 year veteran is a product of Port Isabel High School in Texas. He played college football at Tennessee Tech where he was teammates with Coach Mark Williams. Coach V teaches strength and conditioning.

Coach Pitts is a 21 year coaching veteran, spending eleven of those with the Bulldogs. The Smyrna alum is also a graduate of MTSU. He teaches Applied Mathematical Concepts and SAILS Math. Follow Coach Pitts on Twitter @CoachPitts_FB

Steve Williams just completed his eighth season with the Bulldogs. The 34 year coaching vet is a native Cape Girardeau, Missouri and is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State where he also earned a Master’s degree in Secondary School Administration. Coach Will teaches Driver’s Education. In the 1980s he played professional baseball in the Philadelphia Phillies organization, earning a call up to AAA in 1986. Kirk Embry just completed his 13th season coaching and eighth with the Bulldogs. The MTSU alum is a product of Shelbyville Central High School. Just completing his 21st season, Coach Williams is an alum of Tennessee Tech where he played football after graduating from Shelbyville Central High School. Coach Williams has been a member of the Smyrna coaching staff for five seasons. For seven and half years he served as head coach at Gallatin High School. Coach Nix makes his return to Rutherford County as the Tight Ends and Fullbacks coach, after a stint at Wilson Central. Coach Nix played collegiately at MTSU. Coach Bartsch is a 21 year coaching vet. He started his career in California after graduating from California Lutheran University where he was teammates with current Baylor Head Coach Dave Aranda and former Texas Head Coach Tom Herman. He earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University. He coached nine seasons at Shelbyville Central where served as Offensive Coordinator.
