Robert L Raikes stadium

Smyrna High School was built in ( ). The football team continued to play games at the old high school until ( ). In () land was leveled and a football stadium was built with along with a six lane track. The press box was expanded after the team's first state championship in 2006. Signage on the front of the press box was updated along the school-wide rebranding in 2021.

The stadium was named after Robert L. Raikes  in (). Mr. Raikes served Smyrna High School for () starting in () as (). In his tenure at SHS Mr. Raikes (roles held). He retired in ( ). 


Thanks to a generous donation from Smyrna Ready Mix a new turf field was installed prior to the 2022 season. The first game played on SRM field was a 34-14 win over Stewarts Creek. The new field is home to the SHS boys and girls soccer teams and will host several middle school football games.  


Field house

In the spring of 2023 ground will be broken on a field house expansion.
